New Issue of Young Children Added to UNT Dallas Library Collection

This month's issue of Young Children is focused on literacy. In "A is Burrito and B is Sloppy Joe: Creating Print-Rich Environments for Children in K-3 Classrooms," Ysaaca Axelrod, Anna H. Hall, and Jonda C. McNair present excellent suggestions on how to incorporate print-rich resources into kindergarten to 3rd grade classrooms. These print-rich options include charts that explain grammar rules; morning messages written on the board by different students each day; classroom libraries; and sociodramatic play areas. This is fantastic reading material for anyone in the education field.
